Mark Twain once said:

You cannot depend on your eyes when your imagination is out of focus.”

This is something we believe to be very true. Photography as an art form is about being able to see what everybody else can and represent it in a unique and imaginatively challenging way. This is where the passion for our work can be found – in using different points of view to expose (or at least provide a glimpse) into our imagination while attempting to stimulate yours.

Shooting on both analogue (film) and digital, we have an appreciation of the challenges the darkroom development process presents as well as the convenience and (relative) simplicity of digital.

If there was a specialism that you could say we had, it’d have to be appreciating the nature and preservation of available light in a photograph. I guess you could say that we’re “flash-averse”. This lends our skills very well to event photography where authenticity and artistic interpretation are paramount.

We also have “quirky” ways of picking projects and naming pieces so if you haven’t visited the Portfolio page yet, have a look and see if you can work out what’s going on in relation to their titles. If you get stuck or need a bit more insight, you can always read more in The Blog section.

You’re likely wondering who are the “we” and who are the team? That will be revealed in due time. In the meanwhile, it’s important to remember that:

“No man is an island, entire of itself; every man is a piece of the continent.”
– John Donne

While the photographs may be executed by one visionary, various elements are delivered through the belief and input of many.

Well, since you’re already here, you might as well put your feet up. Stay a little. Enjoy.
